Just by hearing about acne, first thing which comes to our mind is oily skin. As we have always heard that acne and oily skin are interrelated and if we have dry skin then acne or skin problems won't haunt us. This is a myth; besides the common belief dry skin too develops acne and if not treated properly, can develop acne scars. In fact we all say that if skin is oily then only way to keep the acne away is to make it dry as far as possible. This won't help you rather you will loose the natural oil content of your skin. Instead of following myths blindly, focus on how to prevent or cure acne problems.
At first you can try out some benzoyl peroxide based product on the blackheads, and see how it disappears slowly. Remember do not prick them, as it will leave ugly scar on your face.
Antibiotics too can help the purpose. Yes, antibiotics along with retinol based products will certainly inhibit the growth of bacteria on skin helping prevention of further acne and retinol will help the existing ones to disappear quickly.
Lastly you can also help your skin by using products having good amount of AHA. Yes it is a type of formulation present in various skin products, which helps in making the dead skin loose, and slowly removes them, thereby avoiding any further growth of acne.
But before trying any of the above methods, do not forget to consult your dermatologist, else you might end up using wrong method for your skin type further worsening the condition.
